A financial planning firm retained me to write weekly issues of their email newsletter, which targets existing and potential strategic planning clients.
The goal of this project was to create compelling articles that were useful and easy to read. The newsletter successfully built the firm’s authority and strengthened its relationship with existing and potential clients. Because financial planning is such a highly regulated profession, the newsletters needed to be concise and accurate. While each newsletter contained a call-to-action, the emails were high-value content marketing efforts, not direct sales pieces.
The newsletters focused on a mix of evergreen and urgent, current topics that would be interesting and valuable to the client-avatar, high-net-worth business owners. Topics covered ranged from structuring employee compensation for greater business owner tax flexibility to updates on looming corporate tax deadlines.
